Your horse rugs are washed to the manufacturers recommended instructions, so you can be assured of a high standard of service. All rugs are washed using Nikwax, the leading, professional liquid on the market.
Nikwax revitalises insulation and water repellency to all horse rugs. If a breathable waterproof rug is no longer water repellent, its breathability will be reduced. This leads to a build-up of condensation inside the rug, which can make the horse uncomfortable.
The frequency of re-proofing depends on the age of the rug. A re-proofing treatment should ideally last a full season and it should be carried out yearly. Additionally, Nikwax can be used in both domestic and commercial washing machines.
All rugs are dried naturally to avoid any shrinkage. This prolongs the life of your rug and keeps its natural shape. Tumble drying is not recommended.
